This historic structure, The First Baptist Sanctuary of St. Petersburg, FL, was built in 1924 and has been located across from Williams Park on Fourth Street North in Downtown St. Petersburg, Florida. The building was acquired by the St. Peter’s Episcopal Cathedral in 1990.

The structure was partially demolished in 2009.  The front portion of the building remains as a historical landmark and columbarium. The back portion is being repurposed into a peace memorial garden. Much of the original brick is being used in the renovation.  Shawn O'Malley was able to aquire some of the beautiful heartpine joists and flooring through Sarasota Architectural Salvage, and is turning them into beautiful furniture pieces which will continue to carry the building's history into generations still to come!
